My passion and love of photography begun around 15 years ago on a weekend trip to the Lake district. I started off just taking the usual tourist pictures but soon became engrossed in capturing images of the famous landmarks and beautiful scenery.
I had now fallen in love with photography and couldn’t put my camera down, I would take it everywhere with me. I invested all my time into learning the technical side of things, and used all my spare money on building up my equipment. I started to work with a good friend being a second shooter, and did many weddings with him to build up my experience.
Having now photographed many weddings, I’ve had my fair share of experience in terms of creating beautiful images. Photographically, I like to place myself in and amongst the action, making sure that I don’t miss a special moment and capture it from a point-of-view angle. I’ve learnt to do this subtly by letting the day unfold as it would naturally and waiting for the perfect moment, leaving you with timeless memories.
At certain parts of the day, I always think that it is important to whisk you away from the crowds and allow you to spend some uninterrupted quality time together as the new husband and wife. This gives me an opportunity to get more creative with light, composition and atmosphere to create truly stunning images that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Nothing makes me happier than knowing I’ve done my job and documented your special day to the best of my ability, Then seeing your reactions the first time viewing back your special day.
In my spare time I am usually in the countryside on a long walk, Despite being a professional photographer I still take my camera everywhere, and capture what’s around me. I originally fell in love with photography because of the beautiful landscapes I would see.
I currently live in West Yorkshire but have travelled all over the UK with my wedding photography and sometimes further afield . I love to travel, so if you are having a destination wedding, get in touch and I’ll make it happen.
